PDM Event - 2010

A large stand and lots of visitors made PDM 2010 a great event for the PCN.

PDM Event - 2009

PDM is now just over and the PCN again provided the visitors with free advice in the Plastics Surgery.

The stand was sometimes awash with visitors and their queries which ranged from advanced optical mouldings through to pipe fittings.

Advice was provided to all comers for free by PCN members who not only advised on possible solutions but also directed (and in some cases escorted) visitors to other stands to ensure that they met the right suppliers and made the contacts that they needed.

The stand was manned by PCN members and a feature was the new BPF Buyer's Guide for plastics consultants.

PS: Not many people in the photos because we wanted to show the stand!

"This is a Plastic Bag"

PCN Member John McLoughlin has started his quest to outlaw "anti-science" and started with the marvellous, ever-so-smug, eco-friendly, let’s bash plastics “workshop” being held part of Manchester Science Festival ( http://www.manchestersciencefestival.com/whatson/event.aspx?ID=329).

Plastics packaging has been one of the great enabling technologies for the world and is being demonised by uninformed criticism. The fight back starts here.

Interplas 2008

The PCN stand at "Interplas 2008" was consistently busy with processors and users interested in solving problems and finding solutions.

Our Chairman was sometimes left on his own at the stand but resolutely kept the faith.
